'TRICKED' , by R. M. T. Jay ❁ 𝘙𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ❀ 𝙶𝚎𝚗𝚛𝚎(s): Romance, Contemporary, Fiction ✿ 𝙿𝚞𝚋𝚕𝚒𝚌𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝙳𝚊𝚝𝚎: 22nd June 2021 Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Two people. One night. What could happen between a shy woman and a mysterious man in one night? This book is more than a contemporary romance novel . This book talks about many topics : university, life, friendship, bullying, harassment, family, home. The author writes so fluently that the characters feel so real — I loved that! It's difficult to achieve this, and this author has done it. It's one of my favorite things about this novel. The plot is exciting and intense! I loved how the author wrote it. Another favorite thing that I've read was reading how the main character, Josephine , did her evolution for better. At first, she was a shy, quiet girl that loved her home and didn't want to go anywhere far away from it. She wa...

Five books that talk about self-love & social issues

Five books that talk about self-love & social issues There are a lot of books that are considered romance or fantasy books that, according to the popular opinion, are about the plot or the romance between two or more characters. Well, in this post I'm going to explain my point of view about how some books should be considered more books about self-love, about how to heal, than fantasy/romance books.  1. Las alas de Sophie , by Alice Kellen ( The Wings of Sophie ) I must put this book on top of the list. I have to. This book is about healing , is about learning to live by yourself without the love of your life, without your partner. It is about trying to get over the mourning , about learning how to move on with someone else who could make you happier, who could add more happiness to yourself, not to give you all the happiness. It is lovely to have a person by your side who cares about you, who loves you, who admires you. It is a wonderful and gratifying experience to be love...

'One True Loves', by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Imagen
'One True Loves' , by Taylor Jenkins Reid This book is beyond words. It's beyond everything. One True Loves is about finding your true self, about loving yourself as much as you'd love another person. It is about healing . It's so emotional , and the descriptions are so beautifully written— the way the author takes your heart and shatters it in front of you like it were made of glass,... I just can't explain how much this book made me feel. It's a little embarrassing to say that I've cried almost every page of this book? Because I did. One True Loves shows us the importance of yourself, of being yourself only for yourself, not for to please anyone else. Just you. I've felt an instant connection with the main character, Emma Blair . She loves books, and writes. She is strong , but she feels so vulnerable when she has no one to hold on to. I would think it is a flaw: not be able to live without a person. But in this case, she can, even if she thin...

'Muddle School', by Dave Whamond

Imagen
'𝑴𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍' , by  𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝 First of all, I want to say thank you to the author Dave Whamond, Kids Can Press and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.  Muddle School is a funny and realistic graphic novel about a new kid at high school . It is about the first days of high school , bullying , self-esteem, embarrassing situations, first crushes, and self-doubt .  One of the reasons why I requested this book was because the author represents bullying, and gives it the attention it deserves. Bullying needs to get more attention so more people start to understand how painful it is for victims to go through that, to survive that, to still live with that trauma. I consider that this book should be spreaded more through social media, and schools too.  It is about physical and psychological violence . It is about holding onto the things that makes you feel more comfortable in order to calm yourself, to not to panic, to ...
