'Ruth Bader Ginsburg', by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vergara

'Ruth Bader Ginsburg', by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vergara

Thank you to the author, Frances Lincoln Children's Books and Edelweiss for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

In this new installment of Maria Isabel Sanchez Vergara's Little People, Big Dreams book Series, the author explores the life of the judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933-2020).

It is a beautiful, inspiring human story about a girl, a woman, who believed in herself, who never gave up. It is lovely, and it is so beautifully written, with illustrations.

Ruth became one of the symbols for female lawyers. She fought for women's rights, for equality of gender. She spent all of her life fighting for it. She wanted to become the person her mother believed she could be. Her mother died before she graduated from high school.

Ruth and Martin's story is so sweet- how Martin cared for her, how he admired her and saw her as his equal.

She became the leader of a feminist law group, and worked to end gender discrimination. Also, "she defended The Voting Rights Act, which said that no one should be denied the right to vote because of their skin color". (This quote is from the book.)

She still is an inspiration for women. She fought hard to get more rights for us, women. She is a symbol.

This book comes out on 24th August this year, so stay tuned!
