Thank you to the author and to the publisher for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Daniel is a sci-fi book that tells the story of Daniel Roark, a cardiologist who ends trapped in a white hall where the laws of physics and logic begin to fail

But how did he end trapped there? Why? Who? What do they want from him?

It is a book packed with many themes, many different feelings and subplots so well structured. It's like an action, mystery, sci-fi all at once movie playing in your head while reading this book. The descriptions are fascinating, the plots so well carried, the characters so complex.

Synopsis

Daniel Roark is a cardiologist who finds himself imprisioned in a hall where the laws of physics and logic begin to fail. Daniel tries to uncover the truth about who trapped him there and why. The forces that sent him to this place elude human understanding, and the reasons for his imprisonment are connected to events that will affect all humankind.

I can't even know how to start this review. This book is one of the more mind-blowing books I've ever read. It is so addictive, and it's so immersive. It's easy to know the character from the beginning. And at the same time, it is not. You begin to understand more of him, the main character: Daniel. It is bewitching and impressive how the author wrote Daniel so well, with shades and textures, tones and pure emotion.

I would love to highlight the way the author writes. Such a captivating way of writing followed by great character developments. Also, the worldbuilding mixing our real world with another greater world beyond our fingers, based on many things (I won't say specific things because it will lead to spoilers): psychology, and astrology.

It is a story of self-knowledge, of the knowledge of the world, of the meaning of ourselves, of the world that surrounds us, the stars that light up our sky, the very planet we live in. It is about many things I can't even name because it will lead to some spoilers.

It is about the meaning of why we are here. Why did the universe create us? Why are we here? These are some of the questions the main character asks himself, the very questions he shouts at the unmoving sky that rules just above him while trapped, a trap that defies every law of physics and logic

I highly recommend you to read this book. Daniel has became one of most addictive, immersive books I've read this year.

Until next post! ♡
