'Lights Day and Night: The Science of How Light Works', by Susan Hughes & Ellen Rooney

'Lights Day and Night: The Science of How Light Works', by Susan Hughes & Ellen Rooney

Thank you to the authors, Kids Can Press and Edelweiss for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

A funny, graphic and easy way for children to learn more about how light works.

It talks how light travels from our star —the Sun— to us, and it gives glimpses of the rest of the stars out there in space, far away from us.

It also explains some concepts in a easy way for kids: types of lights that exist, how the water cycle works —in a simple and illustrative way—, and how sunlight is so important to us, Earth and its children.

It gives visual examples with beautiful details.

It comments interesting facts for kids.

At the last pages, we found a game/exercise for them. It is a detail that makes the book even better for them to digest if they're not into reading.

Also, there is a glossary full of terms at the end. It helps them, and also makes them more curious about the topic of light.

This book is perfect for children! It is the perfect choice!
